SAINTS WALK TIGHTROPE INTO FINAL
Aggregate score: Llansantffraid 2-1 Holywell Town
SAINTS have to thank an 88th minute Simon Abercrombie goal for their place in the final after a match which saw them walking a tightrope for much of the time.
Starting the tie with the scores level at 1-1 from the first leg, an unchanged Saints side walked a precarious tightrope before finally securing their place, despite a late goal for the visitors which could have been a disaster.
Saints indecision saw Holywell create the early chances. Milroy fired just wide, a header from Paul Allen landed on top of the crossbar and most astonishing of all, Neil Davies contrived to fall on the ball when presented with an easy tap-in at the far post.
However, Saints survived to boss the second half, with well-constructed raids orchestrated by Tommy Morgan.
He used his trickery to open up the visitor's defence for Abercrombie to fire home five minutes from time, though celebrations were cut short by the flag raised for offside.
However, the home supporters were soon celebrating for real when a corner from Alan Woan was headed on by Tommy Morgan for Abercrombie to net from close range.
