Eight-goal thrashing for sad Saints

Llansantffraid’s despair deepened after an eight-goal thrashing at Bangor City in the Konica League of Wales.
The Saints went into the match with manager Graham Breeze stressing the importance of picking up at least a point to boost confidence and stop the clubs downward spiral.
But the proceedings made painful viewing for Breeze who watched goalkeeper Ian Hughes pick the ball out of the net eight times in one of the clubs heaviest defeats of recent years.
Lee Noble, Dave Barnett and Lee Eason made it 3-0 to Bangor by the interval. The half ended with Llansantffraid defender Graham Ellis in hospital and right back David Williams concussed after a clash of heads.
Bangor went on to complete a second-half nap hand. Eason ended up with a hat-trick and the other goals were scored by Noble, Jimmy Carberry and Nick Dillon.
