The son of ex-Everton and Scotland player Graeme Sharp, who also played for and managed Bangor City, Chris started his career with Rhyl, but missed the whole of league season 2006/7 after breaking a leg in the Lilywhites' Uefa Cup campaign. Despite recovering to return to action in September 2007, he was released from Belle Vue the following summer by mutual consent and signed for Bangor City. He was leading scorer at Farrar Road in 2008/9 and in the first-half of the following campaign before signing for The New Saints in January 2010, where he topped the goal charts at the end of the season with 10.
